Description of Active Pass Caboose: The caboose found its way to Galiano Island from the Mainland in 1973. She was originally based in Edmonton and retired to the Coquitlam yards in the early 70's, where she was lovingly restored and renovated into a cottage and barged to the sunny tip of MaryAnn Point, Galiano Island, BC. With all the comforts of home the Caboose offers a queen size loft with panoramic views, a kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, outdoor gas BBQ and all utensils. Relax on the couch, or sit at the dining table and watch the fishing boats, tugs, ferries and yachts pass by daily. The single downstairs bed is a great place to put your feet up with a good book or listen to music on the cd/cassette player.
